How Youtuber Makes Money?

Have you ever wonder how those Youtube superstars survived by just making videos all the time? The concept on how we make a living from just Youtube-ing, is same on how those TV Show make money from.

Ads.

Its exactly the same concept for those ads you saw on my blog. When you are watching a Youtube video from someone else, you get prompt to an ads, sometimes it appeared before the video started, most of us just clicked "Skip". Sometimes it appeared on the bottom of the video like a banner, and we clicked "x" for sure.

Those ads represented "money" for the Youtubers, 99.9% of the Youtube superstars allow ads on their video, this action we called "monetization".

Some people ask me, why is this "money-making" concept same with the TV Show I mentioned earlier?
- The ads you saw in the middle of the show? this is how TV Show company make money.

So here's the main question, how much they(Youtuber) earn monthly?
- Well the result might vary for different type of Youtube channel, and it depends on the contents that he/she make, also depending on the yearly quarter(will be explain in future).

For my channel, I had 25k views per month(9k subscribers), each video hit about 1.2k views at least. Truth to be told, I only earned $400 per month, if its on peak season, revenue might increased to $600 if I was lucky.

Famous Youtuber Pewdiepie told media that he earned millions of dollar on last year, is that even possible? Yes, that is absolutely possible. My videos only had 1000+ views and I had earned at least $400 per month. Each of his(pewdiepie) video had at least 1.5mil views, deducted those who using ad-block, so the number reported is true.

Any other way that Youtuber makes money?
- Yes, through branding or sponsorship. But forget about this if you aren't famous channel. The "famous" term I used, indicated that you must have at least 100k of subscribers on your channel. Then you will have the opportunity to get branding or sponsorship from those big companies.

A successful Youtuber could earn 3 times of the salary for your ordinary jobs, 9am - 5pm. And our working time is flexible.

BUT...
Building up a successful Youtube channel required effort and times, probably 1 year, or 2 years,or more than that, its all depends on the timing, and how attractive your contents are. Patience and consistent is the key.
